• 20th of September 2021 - start of the process of entry submission for the "National Contest Building of the Year 2021"
• 31st of October 2021 - deadline for entry submissions for the "National Contest Building of the Year 2021" 
• 10th of November - 1st of December 2021 - Jury Process
• 1st - 14th of December 2021 - voting for the Audience award
• 15th of December 2021 - Award ceremony for the "National Contest Building of the Year 2021"
• 19th December (Sunday) 2021  - broadcasting of the Ceremony on BNT 1 at 13:00PM (90 minute broadcast)

The most significant realizations in Bulgaria that have been certified and approved throughout the year, apply and go through an assessment by a prominent jury of respected representatives of the professional communities. The award ceremony takes place at a gala dinner in December, gathering the leading investors, construction companies, architects and other participants in the construction-investment process.

National Contest “Building of the Year” is organized by THE CITY Media Group under the auspices of the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works with the support of industry  associations in the area of architecture and construction – Construction Chamber of Bulgaria, Chamber of Architects in Bulgaria, Union of Architects in Bulgaria, Chamber of Engineers in Investment Design. Media partner of National Contest ‘Building of the Year’ is the Bulgarian National Television and the Gala award ceremony is broadcasted by BNT.
